I read there was some confusion (?) over whether a sworn affidavit was presented to the judge. Which, from what I know, is a critical piece for obtaining the warrant in the first place.
As with many situations that spiral out of control, had the people involved not decided to double down over and over, it would never have gotten here.
The local residents who don't want to speak up or get involved are gonna be THRILLED when suddenly their town's entire budget is sucked up to deal with this.
